Deep within the mountain kingdom of Erebor a lake of gold and precious jewels laps at the green stone pillars of the ancient Dwarf city. Innumerable coins of Dwarven mint lie piled so deep that a Dragon the size of Smaug the Terrible can swim among them like a giant red serpent. Stamped in the gold smithies of a long-dead Dwarf king, they glitter like so many dew-kissed autumn leaves lying thick upon a bleak forest floor, a sad, twinkling monument to a once proud race made humble by the great worm. The coins are exact replicas, drawn from molds of the original coins created for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug by the 3 Foot 7 Art Department. Made from metal (zinc alloy) plated to look every bit as precious as if they were made of solid gold. The coins come in a cloth pouch with a draw string to keep your treasure safe.

Slender and keen edged were the knives of Tauriel™ of the Woodland Realm, fitting arms for a lady warrior of equal keenness and skill. Tauriel’s golden-hued blades were wrought in the cavern smithies of her people, the Sindar, deep beneath the once beautiful Greenwood, now a sick and evil place, called Mirkwood by most. Few would dare tread its paths unarmed. Tauriel’s blades remain ever at the ready when she leads sorties into the forest to drive back the fell spiders and worse creatures that now haunt the dying wood. Tauriel's daggers were created for the film by the artists at Weta Workshop. Incredibly tough, yet safer than a sharpened steel blade, they have been finished to a standard that can confidently be displayed in 3D, high resolution, at 48 frames per second in the finished movie. This prop replica has been created from molds of the original weapons used in the film, using the same high impact urethane material as the props on set and finished using the same techniques and materials. Richard Taylor, Special Effects Supervisor at Weta Workshop explains the use of urethane: Although we use steel and aluminium to make a lot of our swords, often we benefit from the casting of these in a high impact urethane as we are able to capture the complexity of detail we are wishing to cast into some of our weapons. We have therefore chosen to present our collector’s edition of Hobbit weapons in the same material used for the making of the film props to exactly replicate the techniques and artistry used in the films." The daggers come with a reinforced polystone wall plaque for display, pride of place, on your wall. Few escaped the fire of the Dragon Smaug when he fell with death and ruin upon the Dwarf realm of Erebor beneath the Lonely Mountain. Even fewer expected to find King Thror or his son Thrain among the survivors, but against all hope the Longbeards had escaped the sack of the city by way of a secret passage. Centuries later, the precious key to this back door to the mountain kingdom would find its way into the hands of Thorin Oakenshield, grandson of Thror and the heir to Erebor, and with it, hope of restoring his thone. The Key to Erebor was designed by Concept Art Director John Howe and created for the film by the artists at the 3 Foot 7 Art Department in Wellington, New Zealand. This prop replica has been cast from moulds of the original prop taken directly from the 3 Foot 7 Art Department. It is cast in metal (Zinc Alloy) and comes on a stand made of polyurethane. Large and heavy, it is the kind of key you just know would open something important.
